Mick had dogs that raced around

and chooks that climbed the trees

I wouldn't pat his pieball rat

or feed the blue-tongue cheese

the cat just sat, the lizard spat

and the dog had a digging habit

but the most amazing phenomenon

was a huge and fearless rabbit

ignored by dogs all round the block

as his dominant pose was struck

oblivious to the noise of the neighbour's boys

he propped behind the truck

as I watched he seemed invincible

this rabbit or perhaps a hare

the truck rolled out to go to work

the rabbit no longer there

Mick tooted his cheerful 'see ya'

where could that rabbit be?

cool and cruisin' and off to work

rabbit upon his knee
