With the notice came a 'letter'

though not in letter form

no address or letterhead

quite different from the norm

"we've transferred 10,000 customers

not our fault your bill' s a myth

cash flow's important to us too!"

I phoned them up on Monday

my good name to restore

I wonder who this company is

and why they ask for more?

It was then they told the reason

they'd begun to charge me dough

"we have got a contract

dated two years ago!"

I told them that I'd not been there

I'd sold, transaction done

and paid my final reading

in twenty zero one

And the folk who bought the business

have gone their merry way

and paid their bills to Pulse they said

never late by a day

But Power Direct insisted

that they had the legal right

so who am I to contradict

a contract in black and white

"So could you Mr Consumer

contact those you sold the business to

and ask them to telephone us

so we can follow through?"

No, you send me a letter

saying I do not owe

"Sorry we have a contract

I already told you so!"

I personally have had experience

where the un-entitled wouldst collect

but how many people are distressed

by this phantom Power Direct
