my name is ugh and I live in a cave

but there aren't many caves around

so I need a vital reason to abandon my abode

and all of them relate to sound

the crunching through the forest of mammoth beef steaks

the roaring of a sabre tooth herd

the rapture of rehearsal screech a cave wench makes

and the song of a feathered flying friend I'll call a bird

meat man meat when I go prepare the heat

vigilance for the cat who may see us like that

my cudgel clocks the woman then I drag her by the locks

as the magnet to my conscousness warbles from the flocks

lilting waves of beauty which inside a recipe

were offered to the gods but they reverted to me

cantillate and carol harmonize a hymn hummed

mellifluous the air so even hollow trees drummed

chant chirp choir croon

whistle whine or warble tune

serenade and lullaby

my fear of death is laid aside

meat on the sandstone

safety in the cave

warbling wench with ughletts

no wonder cave man rave
