A petition for the dancing bears

who entertain and yield

a meagre traditional livelihood

to trainers and their heirs

And while we're at out haughty game

there are acts with cobra snakes

charming liberation with

irreversible mistakes

as a bear dances to a tune

the block you chip is vulnerable

Improve conditions, but think a lot

of cultures not like ours

lest all the world be all the same

don't abuse your powers

don't rub your cat's nose to train it

or train shepherds and their ilk

nor flick the leg of a dairy cow

whose hoof steps in the milk

don't crop the flank of dobbin

or muzzle skinny dogs

or make the chooks lay eggs each day

or make movies starring hogs

ultimate sheep compliance
