after fifteen poems I composed

on a roll the other day

the fifteenth seemed quite wanting

and caused a smidgen of dismay

perhaps the whole cacophony's bad

so I sought the reason why

is it 'cause I've had no stimulants

or perhaps cause I'm too high

I had to know the reason

to at least have the fourteen win

so I start to think I've lost it

or never had it to begin

perhaps it's 'cause I'm mainstream

or perhaps 'cause that's a lie

whatever caused this blockout

this is my fifteenth try
