by the time we finish chopping the wood
we're already feeling warm
but hasn't heat been made stuffy!
since centigrade's been born
fabricating tropical swelter
sensibilities get the sack
back in fahrenheit days when the goosebumps raised
you'd do your front and then your back
thoughts from open and outdoor fires
leap in flickering bliss
and as the night grows shorter
the embers reminisce
you can place between your heaters and me
a great deal of dinky die air
you didn't even kindle it rained today
it did rain, I was there
to realise well your weather
is a charm I recommend
thermostat is a word I've banned
so now I have to end
