or lament the mail that doesn't get through

if you're not happy what you see

feel free to raise the postage fee

your mail reader is on your pc

so you control what you want to see

approval not relevant from your ISP

or any government agency

the reader monitors your mail on cue

and categories you are willing to view

it is you who states your subject list

and review at will anything you missed

if the sender doesn't pay the postage due

thwarted mail cannot get through

you get paid to accept that mail

or price the flow to make it fail

relationships with the people you are sending to

just let them through and they'll let you

for incoming unknowns the fee not large

you check they pay a five cent charge

if you like the sound of what they say

no need to deflect those mails away

spammers pay or they won't get through

which is exactly what we set out to do

no one need approve your charge

and you needn't charge the world at large

one solitary email a five cent fee

that's very close to sending free

but twenty million costs a whole lot more

deterence is what we began this for

for a marketeer who has something to sell

he can send a thousand emails well

if receivers think those mails are good

he funds his business like a business should

if no-one likes what his emails hurled

he goes broke that's just the way of the world

some senders you allow the others you vet

spammers and governments don't own the net

too much junk in the inbox today?

they either pay or they go away !
